Auckland Sky Tower: A family birthday party!



For the last few months we have had a family dinner with our New Zealand family every Tuesday night. This past Tuesday was a special one because we went up the Sky Tower to celebrate our good friend Jorge’s birthday.

We went up to the viewing deck just before sunset and then went for a great meal at ORBIT - their revolving restaurant. We proved to ourselves that we can be civilized sometimes, but this ended pretty quickly. In honour of our Mexican birthday boy we wore moustaches, drank tequila and sang karaoke all night long. I am sure it was our epic version of “La Bamba” that won us the championship $50 bar tab…which we used to buy more tequila.
